Daniel A. Sergi, CPCU, is the President and CEO of Wine Sergi. In his over 30 years as an insurance professional, Dan has held various risk management positions including Safety Specialist, Account Executive, Vice President of Sales, Executive Vice President & Managing Director of various international insurance brokerage firms. Dan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Western Illinois University and is a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
Personal: When not managing the risks for Wine Sergi clients, Dan enjoys friends, family, fishing, a great scotch and a fine cigar.

Sr. Vice President
Director of Marketing
Rich is a Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing for Wine Sergi. His insurance career included training as a property and liability claims adjuster and marketing representative for CNA Insurance Company in Chicago. Rich assisted agents and clients with underwriting and developing risk transfer, and in understanding company products and services.
He has over 25 years of insurance brokerage experience working with a wide variety of clients, both domestic and international, having worked a good deal of his career with the large publicly-traded insurance brokerage houses. Rich enjoys being with privately-held Wine Sergi. He has all the resources necessary to concentrate on his clients’ risk management needs without having the added burden of shareholder equity concerns that pressure publicly-traded brokers.
Personal: Rich is a native of Illinois and has spent much of his adult life in the Chicago metropolitan area. He married his best friend, Ann, after meeting her at Blackburn College. They have two grown children, Drew and Kelsey, both successfully pursuing business careers in Chicago. Rich has studied at the Insurance School of Chicago and is active in many civic and non-profit organizations including Easter Seals, Heartland Blood Centers and The Association for Individual Development. Rich is an active churchman and sings tenor with The Naperville Men’s Glee Club.

The ultimate client experience means the client can focus all his/her energy on running the business because they rely on the Wine Sergi team to be their strategic partner and trusted insurance advisor."
Executive Vice President, Property & Casualty
Adam Hackman is a Vice President and Practice Leader in the Property & Casualty department of Wine Sergi Insurance. Adam is a graduate of Marquette University and is a fully-licensed agent. He holds the Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designation and is actively working towards the procurement of his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) certification as well. He began his career at an international insurance brokerage prior to joining Wine Sergi eight years ago. Although Adam provides consultative risk management services to a wide array of industries, his expertise has been primarily focused in the development of insurance programs for the food and beverage industry, technology, property management groups, and educational institutions.
In 2009, Adam was recognized as the Independent Insurance Agent of Illinois (IIA of IL) Young Agent of the Year. He now serves proudly as the Chairman of the IIA’s Young Agent Committee and is a voting member on the Board of Directors for the IIA of Illinois.
Executive Vice President, Employee Benefits
With nearly a decade of industry experience under his belt, Brad has seen the evolution and transformation of the Employee Benefits space. With a passion for technology, entrepreneurship, and following rules, he is the perfect fit to lead our practice as Health Care Reform continues to change the rules and new efficiencies emerge through technology platforms.
Throughout his career, Brad has become an expert in strategic plan designs, defined contribution models, legislative compliance, and employee wellness initiatives. Brad is a regular guest speaker at industry trade groups and associations on the topic of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and he finds energy in helping his clients strategically prepare for, and address, the ever-evolving benefits environment.
Personal: Brad was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. He is an avid fan of live music and loves the opportunity to spend time on the golf course with friends, colleagues, and clients. He spent half his undergraduate career at Butler University and transferred to DePaul University after his sophomore year, where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration. He is an active participant in his community, serving as the past-President of the St. Charles Heritage Center and currently serving on the Executive Committee for the Kane County Business Advisory Council.
